Service Exceptions

Unless we are prevented from so doing by a Force Majeure Event, we will provide Services which conform in all material respects with their description on the Website and in these Terms are carried out with reasonable care and skill.

We are not obliged to provide the Services or Additional Services (or any part of the Services or any part of the Additional Services) in relation to: fine jewellery, stolen goods or materials, hazardous or toxic materials or substances, perishable or biodegradable materials or substances, including but not limited to food and liquids, whether alcoholic or not, Goods or materials that are illegal to store or transport without a license, cash or cash convertible, and any form of documentation and any item that we consider, in our sole and absolute discretion, to be unsuitable or unhygienic for any reason. If you send any prohibited items to Knox, then we, in our sole discretion, will either return these items to you at your sole cost or discard these items.

Your relationship with Knox, unless otherwise expressly agreed in any particular contract and/or order, shall be governed by and subject to these terms and conditions (the "Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Services.

Customer Liability

You agree and warrant that:

  1. Information provided by you is complete and accurate;
  2. you shall notify to us in writing of any Items that are of particularly high financial value, of sentimental value and/or require specialist storage, transportation or handling requirements prior to collection (any such arrangements shall require our prior agreement);
  3. you shall notify us in writing of any faults or damage to any Items prior to collection;
  4. you shall ensure that all pockets or compartments of each Garment, as may be appropriate, are empty prior to collection. We shall not be responsible for any items left in any pockets or compartments in any Garment or any items on or in any Garments that have not been brought to our attention prior to collection;
  5. you shall ensure that all Items are professionally cleaned. Items which have not been cleaned prior to Pick –up will be only steamed and preserved in as is condition, we shall however, arrange to be professionally cleaned prior to storage with us on your request. Such cleaning shall be undertaken by reputable third-party specialists and the cost of this will be paid by you.
  6. you shall provide us, our employees, agents, consultants, sub-contractors or representatives with access to your premises at your Home Address and any other facilities as may be reasonably and provide necessary lighting conditions required by us to perform the inspection prior to pick up.
  7. you shall arrange adequate insurance cover for the goods submitted for removal transit and/or storage, against all insurable risks as our liability is limited under insurance clause to the amount collected by us as our Service Charges.

Account Breach

You agree to notify us immediately of any breach in secrecy of your log-in information. If you have any reason to believe that your account information has been compromised or that your account has been accessed by a third party, you agree to immediately notify Knox by an email at support@theknoxindia.com. You will be solely responsible for the losses incurred by Knox, yourself and others due to any unauthorized use of your account.


Upon accepting these Terms you shall pay for the Services or Additional Services in accordance with the pricing structure indicated on the Website. These Fees will be automatically applied to the credit card on file with Knox in advance for the whole period in accordance with the Services chosen, and you hereby authorise Knox to charge these Fees on your credit card. You also must pay Knox additional Fees in connection with each of your Additional Services. These additional Fees may vary based on the type of Additional Services used by you  and will be directly collected from you. Knox reserves the right to  modify the pricing structure  at its sole discretion and such modifications shall be applicable on all the services subscribed/availed by you. If the subscription is not renewed on time, Knox  reserves the right to cancel or suspend  performance of the Services or Additional Services.

Pick-up and Delivery

If at the time, place and date for delivery and/or pick up you or your Authorised Person is not present or available to take delivery or collection of the Items, we will not deliver and/or collect the Items. You will have to re-arrange the pick-up and/or delivery and this additional cost shall be borne by you.

The items will be picked up and got to the Knox storage. A physical conditional report will be prepared and shared within 7-10 days of the date of pick-up with specific comments on the condition of the garment. In an unforeseen event such physical verification does not happen within the stipulated time, Knox shall not be held liable.

We will use reasonable endeavours to supply and complete the Services or Additional Services on time but you accept that there may be delays for various reasons beyond our control. In the case of such delays, and subject to events out of our control, we will complete the Services or Additional Services as soon as reasonably possible. Time will not be of the essence for performance of the Services or Additional Services by us and we shall have no liability for failing to provide the Services or Additional Services or making a delivery by any date stipulated by you. Delays do not give any right to compensation.


You use the Services at your own risk. We disclaim any warranties or guarantees.

You expressly understand and agree that: your use of the services is at your sole risk, and the services is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and the released parties expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; the released parties make no warranty that (i) the services will meet your requirements, (ii) the services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, (iii) the results that may be obtained from the use of the services will be accurate or reliable, or exceed any results promised or provided by any third party that helps to facilitate the services

Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

The released parties’ maximum liability arising out of or in connection with the services or your use of KNOX services, regardless of the cause of action (whether in contract, tort, breach of warranty, or otherwise), will not exceed five times the proportionate subscription cost paid by you for that item or the depreciated value of the garment / dress / apparel as declared during the onboarding process with proof of purchase. Valid proof of purchase is the original, photocopy, photograph or digital invoice submitted to Knox during the time on onboarding of the garment. Depreciation Rate for any garment will be 20% per year from the date of purchase as per the proof of purchase submitted. If the garment is beyond 5 years and is in good usable condition 10% of the value of the product as declared during onboarding will be considered incase of any liability.


We will maintain insurance in respect of any claims which you may have against us in the unlikely event of any loss of, or damage to, any Item. Please note that the insurance cover which we maintain will reflect the limitation on such claims contained in Limitation of Liability above.

Our liability to pay any claim brought by you for loss of, or damage caused to, an Item by us shall be subject to you providing us with evidence that the Item in question is considered to be irreparable

Events outside our control

A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-occurrence, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes, in particular (without limitation), the following: strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action; civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war; fire, explosion, pandemic, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.

Our obligations under these Terms are suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will extend the time to perform these obligations for the duration of that period. We will take reasonable steps to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under these Terms can be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.


On termination, we will, by no later than 10 days after the date of termination of these Terms, arrange for any Items held by us to be returned to you, at your expense, unless these Terms are terminated by reason of a breach by us in which case we will bear the cost of returning the Items to you.

Safe keeping charges at the rate thrice the subscription charges per day will be charged to customer failing to collect their items within 10 days for period up to 90 days of subscription expiry. The company shall make an attempt to contact the customer in all such cases, however cannot be held liable for loss of item after a 90 days failure to collect back the item.


Knox strives to provide the best quality service to its valuable customers. The services offered and techniques used have been tested and also adjusted to ensure optimum safety of your couture.

We welcome your feedback at all times and will ensure it is incorporated into our system for continuous improvement when possible.

These terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

The company aims to provide the best quality of storage services available as per its standard methods; however does not guarantee 1. removal of all stains on an item, 2. Natural degradation of fabric due to age. Whenever possible, the company will notify the customer of any such findings.

In spite of the simple professional control carried out at the time of the pick  of the items, we cannot be held responsible for the damage due to non-identifiable properties or not detectable defects such as: insufficient resistance of fabrics or the seams, uneven dyeing or printing marks, drop stitches, former crease marks, knots, splicing, holes, snags, needle lines, former defects, deterioration of the buttons, loops, zippers, shoulder pads, etc., 

Any complaint(s) must be deposited to customer service executive at the time of delivery. KNOX is not responsible for complaints received after acceptance of the item.

Every complaint is carefully examined by our customer service team and given equal importance or a valid explanation.

The general terms and conditions of this site are subject to the Indian Laws and Jurisdiction of Mumbai Courts only.
